Description: The program appraises the boldness of the director to convey in the cinema the “idiomorphic” theatrical work of Dimitris Vizantios. It continues with information on the film plot, namely the presentation of the “chaotic situation (Babel) during the first years after the liberation from the Turkish occupation” due to the “linguistic confusion and difference among the diverse Greek peripheries, as well as the natural and immanent tendency of the Greeks to leadership”. The program stated that the director followed the “golden mean’ by adding four female characters and emphasizing the humoristic proportions of representative types of people. The program concludes with appraisal of the director, who made the first step in creating works of art accessible to the wider public and on the distinctions the film was awarded with.
